About Me
Full-stack engineer. Craftsman. Mentor.

Who I am
I'm a full-stack software engineer based in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, with over ten years of professional experience shipping production web applications across ag-tech, e-commerce, ed-tech, fin-tech, and AI.
I specialize in Ruby on Rails APIs paired with Angular frontends — a combination I've refined across platforms ranging from complex marketplace systems and real-time IoT monitoring dashboards to curriculum delivery tools serving school districts nationwide.
For over nine years I worked at Codefi Works as a Senior Software Engineer, architecting and maintaining scalable client applications. Alongside that, I co-instructed multiple Code Labs bootcamp cohorts, mentoring over 40 aspiring developers across Missouri and Kentucky. I care about clean architecture, practical solutions, and building software that makes complex problems feel simple.

Beyond the keyboard
Twenty years ago a motorcycle accident left me paralyzed. It was life-altering — but it also turned out to be the catalyst that led me to Coding, Paratriathlon, Paracycling, and Wheelchair Marathons.
At the competitive peak of my athletic career I became a 2× National Champion in Paratriathlon and represented the United States at the ITU World Championship in Edmonton, Canada, where I placed 3rd. I now ride handcycles and racing wheelchairs for fun, but the drive and discipline that sport demanded shaped how I approach engineering just as much as any technical experience.
